RWI Capacity Advancement Fellowship in Extractives

Capacity Advancement Fellowship in Extractives

The Revenue Watch Institute, with support from the Oil for Development Program (OfD) of Norway’s Agency for Development Cooperation, manages an annual Capacity Advancement Fellowship in Extractives (CAFE) program. The CAFE program seeks to enhance civil society’s capacity in promoting better management of oil, minerals, and gas for the public good. In the first half of the year-long program, fellows are based at the RWI New York office, under the supervision of a mentor. They contribute to RWI programs, can audit extractive industry-related classes at leading academic institutions, and attend technical trainings or networking events. After the fellows return to their home organization, they implement a project related to their experience at RWI with the continued support of their mentors.

Calls for applications are issued annually. The next call for application is scheduled for mid-2009. For more information, please contact Rebecca Iwerks from PWYP member organsiation RWI.
