Measuring Transparency in the Extractive Industries

This framework, developed by Save the Children UK in collaboration with independent consultants, investors, NGOs, and government and industry experts, provides a means to assess the performance of oil and gas companies and home governments in support of revenue transparency.

Toolkits

The new Publish What You Pay Campaign Toolkit will shortly be published. This will be a guide for NGO members of the international PWYP coalition on how to support and contribute to the campaign at local, regional and international levels in pursuing the campaign objectives.

The toolkit will provide constructive recommendations on how to promote the policy goals of the campaign, network with other organisations and engage with the media. It will include specific examples of lobbying efforts carried out by PWYP members.

The "Follow the Money: A Guide to Monitoring Budgets and Oil and Gas Revenues" guidebook is based on a workshop co-organized by the Open Society Institute's Revenue Watch program. It provides practical information on how citizens of resource-rich countries can become effective monitors of government earnings and expenditures.
