Malawi

Malawi held its first EITI multi-stakeholder conference for two days from 21st-22nd of November. The conference is the first of its kind for the southern African state to forge ahead in committing to implement the EITI in the country. Malawi is undergoing a resource boom with the World Bank projecting that the mining industry would contribute up $500 million in revenue in the next short to medium term.
