The coalition in Indonesia was formed in 2007. The coalition has focused on supporting the implementation of EITI and its campaign was instrumental in the government’s decision to join the initiative in 2010. Since then, the coalition has helped reach a broad implementation of EITI.
PWYP Indonesia has been highly active in using the data that emerges from EITI reports and are conducting five research projects in different sub-regions that track revenues, map concession areas and monitor sub-national payments, among others. The coalition has also worked on making EITI data accessible and widely available, in West Papua it used SMS to engage citizens on EITI Issues.
