The coalition is working to drive key issues on transparency and accountability, including ensuring more effective civil society engagement on the EITI process, driving citizen engagement processes to have EITI reports well making sure the EITI is understood by the Malagasy citizenry so that there is a greater demand for accountability in the mining sector. The coalition also works to influence the pending mining and petroleum laws.
