EITI Compliant

PWYP-Mali was launched in April 2008. The coalition has focused on a range of issues, including the country’s implementation of the EITI. As part of this, the coalition regularly analyses the Mali EITI reports. The coalition also works on capacity building, in particular on issues related to contracts, and advocated for contraction transparency.

PWYP-Mali currently works on the social and environmental impacts of gold mining, budget analysis and monitoring at a communal (local authority) level. The coalition also has a strong focus on tax justice, and is part of the CRAFT Initiative ( Capacity for Research and Advocacy for Fair Taxation).
