Bantay Kita-PWYP Philippines was formed in 2009 and joined Publish What You Pay as an affiliated coalition in 2013. The coalition supports the implementation of EITI and carries out capacity building to enhance the participation of various stakeholders in the initiative. Bantay Kita-PWYP Philippines has also focused on national legislation, campaigning for important transparency measures to be included in the country’s mining code and for the removal of unfair fiscal incentives for mining companies.

The coalition supports its members through capacity building, research and the exchange of experiences and information. BK-PWYP Philippines also conducts projects at the subnational level, with two transparency initiatives in Compostela Valley and South Cotabato.
