The Global Council took the decision on April 8 2015 to suspend the Tanzanian coalition following governance and membership challenges. This means that for the moment the group of organisations, individuals, the coordinator and its host Fordia, who formerly constituted the Publish What You Pay Tanzania Coalition, are no longer recognised as an affiliated coalition of PWYP. In addition, the use of the PWYP logo and name by any individuals and organisations in Tanzania is no longer permitted. This is in line with PWYP’s governance standards.

It is important to note that Publish What You Pay remains committed to work with and support individual civil society organisations in Tanzania, and if so requested, will provide all the necessary and available support to relaunch PWYP as a coalition in Tanzania by implementing the recommendations stakeholders had agreed upon. Any organisation who is interested in joining the PWYP coalition please go to join the coalition or contact Carol Kiangura (see below for details).
