Anton Artemyev is currently director of the Kazakhstan Revenue Watch program (KRW) of the Soros Foundation – Kazakhstan. He has been working in this capacity since 2004, two years after joining the Foundation. Before that Mr Artemyev had worked as project manager for various education projects.

Mr Artemyev is an Economics graduate of Moscow Academy of Labour and Social Relations (2000). He is now pursuing the MBA degree through distance learning at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University (UK).

Being Director of KRW, Mr Artemyev has been involved in the promotion of Extractive Industries Initiative (EITI) in Kazakhstan since the EITI’s early days. In 2006-2008 Mr Artemyev was member of the EITI International Board. Since 2009 Mr Artemyev has been member of the National Stakeholders Council on EITI implementation in Kazakhstan representing the civil society.
