Civil Society and the EITI International Board – the next two years

Publish What You Pay invites the civil society constituency of the EITI to meet their new representatives on the EITI International Board (2011-2013), and the Chair-elect Ms. Clare Short, in a meet and greet session on the morning of March 4th. This event is an important opportunity for civil society to:
- Reflect upon the key conclusions from the fifth EITI Global Conference and lay out the priorities for civil society engagement with EITI over the next two years
- Hear from the new civil society Board members on their vision and priorities for their mandate
- Hear from outgoing civil society Board members about lessons learned and discuss ways in which the constituency can continue to benefit from their knowledge and expertise
- Ensure clear lines of communication between civil society and their representatives on the EITI International Board
- Hear Ms. Short’s assessment of the EITI Global Conference, and how she intends to engage with civil society on EITI over the coming years
