New series of Publish What You Pay Spotlights on National Coalitions

In an effort to capture the incredible work that national coalitions carry out and to provide a better idea of the context in which national coalitions operate, we are very pleased to introduce a new series of Publish What You Pay Spotlights on National Coalitions.

These articles are written by the PWYP international office and are based on interviews with national coordinators and key members of national coalitions. They aim to provide greater coverage and an improved understanding of national coalitions and their work on campaigning for greater transparency and accountability in the extractive industries. We hope that these articles will contribute to greater sharing of experiences, peer learning across the global PWYP campaign and also be of interest to the general public.

The spotlights will be issued on a regular basis and each one will focus on a different national coalition. Our first spotlight looks at the PWYP-affiliated national coalition in Azerbaijan. We will endeavour to provide these spotlights in as many coalition languages as possible.

Nous sommes enchantés de vous présenter une nouvelle série d’articles intitulée A la rencontre des coalitions nationales, qui résulte du souhait de saisir l’incroyable travail effectué par les coalitions nationales affiliées au réseau PCQVP et d’éclairer le lecteur sur le contexte dans lequel ces dernières opèrent.

Ces articles sont écrits par le centre de coordination de PCQVP International et reposent sur des entretiens avec les coordinateurs nationaux, ainsi qu’avec des acteurs clefs des coalitions nationales. Il s’agit à la fois d’améliorer la visibilité de coalitions nationales et d’approfondir la compréhension du travail fourni par ces coalitions pour faire campagne en faveur d’une plus grande transparence et d’une gestion responsable dans les industries extractives. Nous espérons que ces articles faciliteront le partage d’expériences et l’apprentissage entre pairs au sein du réseau PCQVP, tout en suscitant l’intérêt d’un public plus large.

A la rencontre des coalitions nationales donnera lieu à la publication régulière d’articles, mettant à l’honneur une coalition différente à chaque fois. Notre première rencontre a eu lieu avec la coalition azérie, rattachée à PCQVP depuis 2004. Nous nous efforcerons de rendre ces articles disponibles dans le plus grand choix de langues possible.

В целях освещения потрясающего объема работы, которая проводится национальными коалициями, а также для обеспечения более четкого понимания контекста, в рамках которого национальные коалиции осуществляют свою деятельность, мы рады представить новую серию «Главные новости о национальных коалициях от коалиции «Publish What You Pay» (PWYP)».

Статьи этой серии подготовлены международным офисом PWYP и основаны на интервью с национальными координаторами и ключевыми участниками национальных коалиций. Их цель – более широкое освещение дел и событий, а также повышение степени представления о национальных коалициях и их деятельности в деле агитации за повышение степени прозрачности и ответственности в добывающих отраслях. Надеемся, что эти статьи помогут расширить возможности обмена опытом и знаниями между коллегами в рамках глобальной компании PWYP, а также будут представлять интерес для широкого читателя.

Подготовка «Главных новостей» будет осуществляться регулярно, и каждая подборка будет посвящена конкретной национальной коалиции. Подборка первого материала посвящена национальной коалиции PWYP в Азербайджане. По возможности мы постараемся представлять «Главные новости» на языках многих стран-членов коалиции.
