About US Bullion Reserve
US Bullion Reserve is a Los Angeles based IRA dealer. According to their website, they want to establish ongoing client relationships that last for a long time. They are also invested in providing public education about precious metals IRAs, cryptocurrency IRAs, and the precious metals industry in general.
The company provides precious metals and cryptocurrency products. They also help clients with transferring their assets to a precious metals or cryptocurrency IRA. There is a prohibitive amount of paperwork that comes with setting up a self-directed IRA. This paperwork can be overwhelming if you don’t have an expert to walk you through it.
US Bullion Reserve has been in operation since 2008. The company has some precious metals products that cannot be held in an IRA, such as numismatic coins. But they have an entire processing department that is dedicated to processing IRA paperwork. This department can transfer money from a client’s existing IRA into precious metals assets, by helping to streamline the paperwork and application process.
There are free asset protection guides available through the website. If you provide your email and phone number, you can choose from guides about crypto IRA rollovers, gold and silver IRA rollovers, cash purchases of gold and silver, and consulting on cryptocurrency. Whether you’re looking for your retirement account or for your own personal portfolio, at least one of these guides has been crafted with you in mind.
Precious Metals Products
US Bullion Reserve has a variety of precious metals products available. These are sorted into several categories on the website:
The coins section of the website appears to only show numismatic collectibles and coins that cannot be held in IRAs. The "bullion" pages have a combination of IRA-approved bars and coins.
Silver and Gold Coins
The non-IRA coins are somewhat limited, so we'll combine both sections of the website here.
The private silver coins are ideal for coin collectors. These are largely aged coins that can be acquired for numismatic collections. As of writing, there are two coins in this section, both of which are fairly well-known and desirable for collectors.
The first is the Morgan Silver Dollar. This rare coin was only minted between 1878 and 1904. There was one year in which more were printed in 1921, but no more could be found after that. Morgan Silver Dollars were the biggest and heaviest silver dollars in US currency history.
The second coin is the Peace Dollar. Peace Dollars were minted between 1921 and 1928. There was a short run of new coins from 1934 to 1935, but then production stopped permanently. These dollars were manufactured to represent the peace that had been brokered following World War I.
There are more private gold coins available.
One option is the $2.50 Indian Head gold coin, which was minted using the incuse relief technique. Incuse relief has never been used for any other US minted gold coin. There is also a $5 Indian Head gold coin, which was the first in US history to show the profile of a Native American person. You can get a $10 Indian Head gold coin, which was minted in 1907.
There's a $5 Liberty Head gold coin available, otherwise called the Half Eagle coin. This is the last coin that was created with the liberty head design. They were followed up by the Indian Head design. A $10 Liberty Head coin is available. These coins were minted between 1838 and 1907. And there's a $20 Liberty Head coin, which was minted from 1850 to 1907.
The final gold coin is the $20 St. Gaudens coin, which is sometimes called the Double Eagle coin. This coin was named for its sculptor. The artist Augustus St. Gaudens made many beautifully sculpted coins for the US Mint. This particular coin has often been called the most beautiful of the US minted gold coins, but its use was stopped in 1933.
Silver Bullion
The silver bullion section of the website showcases bulk silver coins and bars that were minted after 1935. There are specific requirements that coins and bars need to meet in terms of purity to be considered for an IRA. So you'll need to make sure that your choice of bullion is valid for your IRA if you decide on one of these.
The available bars include:
Then there are coins from a few different sovereign mints. These include:
There are silver rounds available for purchase, but these are not eligible for an IRA. They are pieces of silver bullion that have been minted privately, so they can't be used as currency. But because they have a high purity of silver, they tend to retain a good melt value.
Gold Bullion
Many of the gold bullion options mirror the silver options. All of the gold bullion options were minted following 1934.
Available bars include:
The coins available are:
There aren't gold rounds available like there are silver rounds.
Platinum Bullion
Like with silver and gold bullion, you can get platinum bullion versions of Credit Suisse, Pamp Suisse, and Johnson Matthey bars. All of these bars have a purity level of .9995% platinum, meaning that they are eligible to be kept in an IRA.
Available platinum coins include:
There aren't any rounds available for purchase. Like most dealerships, the platinum options are limited because they're so much scarcer and more expensive.
Proofs
There are silver, gold, and platinum proofs available. However, since the selection is limited, we've combined them all into one section here.
Proof coins include certificates of authenticity that promise that they are the highest-quality coin created by the United States Mint. Every proof coin is specially sealed to remain flawless. They go through a special minting process that causes them to have a sharper relief and higher shine.
Proof coins can typically be held in an IRA. Investors often purchase them for long-term growth.
The proof coins that you can buy through the US Bullion Reserve website are:
The American Eagle is the most common proof coin and the most popular choice for investors who want to buy bullion from the US Mint. There are no other types of proof coin available through this company's website at this time.
Pricing
One key question is how much these products cost. The website doesn't show any prices, unfortunately. There also doesn't appear to be information about how the pricing is calculated. Some other websites use an algorithm to adjust their shown prices in real time, but the US Bullion Reserve seems to have chosen not to.
If you are interested in finding out the prices, you're encouraged to call and get a quote. There is a button on each listing that will take you to the phone number and contact information. Phone calls can only be made Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM PST, when the staff are in the office.
Is US Bullion Reserve Legitimate?
US Bullion Reserve does appear to be a legitimate company. However, it is difficult to find reviews from past clients. There are several companies with similar names that have hundreds of client reviews. But the Yelp page for US Bullion Reserve doesn’t have any customer reviews, and it’s difficult to find a Better Business Bureau page for the firm.
We searched the BBB for a page on the US Bullion Reserve. However, there were no listings found under that name. Again, there are some similarly-named companies that come up in a search engine. But these don’t appear to be the same business.
The website Bizapedia has provided a copy of the company’s business registration, though, indicating that this is a legitimate business. The filing was done in Nevada in 2012. There is also a location in Los Angeles.
The company’s Facebook page does have some more engagement. It shows that there are 93 followers and two five-star reviews. The business address listed on Facebook also matches the one listed on the unclaimed Yelp page. So there does appear to be a legitimate storefront with a legitimate operation.
Only one of the Facebook reviews is publicly available to read. It is from a customer who recommended the company in 2021. She said that working with Victoria at the company helped her to become very successful in Forex trading. She recommended Victoria’s services for Forex trading specifically.
However, the review does have a few flags that might indicate it is spam. One of the biggest is that the customer says that other people can make $5,500 a week without much investment. Oftentimes, if a claim sounds too good to be true, it probably is. That goes especially for companies that don’t have a lot of other outside feedback.

Final Thoughts
U.S. Bullion Reserve has a solid website with a wealth of information about investing in precious metals and cryptocurrency IRAs. However, it is difficult to find outside information about the company. Through digging, we were able to verify that it is a legitimate business with a license and a storefront. But beyond that, there’s very little information.
The website says that they are accredited with the BBB. But we weren’t able to find a BBB page for the business at all. It’s unclear whether the company once had a BBB page, or whether they’ve given incomplete information. Similarly, there are no reviews of their services on sites like Yelp, Trustpilot, and Trustlink. We found one review on Facebook, but it might have been spam.
Because of this, we can’t wholeheartedly recommend this company’s services. Even though their policies and information seem good, there’s no way to tell what experience you’ll have as a customer. We’d recommend working with a firm that has more robust reviews from past clients across different third party websites.
